The training ground

In the beginning of this particular period I quickly realized that we were not fighting with carnal weapons (concreet tangible things) but that this was a spiritual warfare.
As the days and weeks went by, I noticed how not only the common men, but also G-d’s chosen ones were being served with great battles.

It made me understand that in this period all of us will be or are facing great adversity, not just a certain group. At first I thought that we were all fighting the same battle, but then quickly realised that each one of us is fighting a personal battle.

Although the carnal side of this battle is a common element; spiritually each person is faced with something different, their greatest fear. If yours is being ill, then that is what you’ll deal with. If loneliness, financial insecurities, lack of attention or worry or wathever is your biggest adversity then that is what you’ll be served at this particular time.

Ofcourse knowing this made me wonder why the Creator of all things would allow the enemy to test us in such a profound way (like in the book of Job). It is because He wants to grow our faith in Him in a greater way.

You see our current world is entering new dimensions, where the enemy is more active then before. He no longer look for loosy night clubs or dark desserted places and situations to forward his agenda. But now he attacks in bright day light. He is in the courtroom, schools,social media, jobs, parks and even churches. Well to be exact, this had always been the case even in the times of Jesus, it’s just that we are starting to be more aware of it now.

Therefore in order for us to be able to face this, The Creator of all things has to arm us with unshakable faith. The kind of faith that moves mountains, the Moses-, Joshua-, Abraham- and Sarah kind of faith.
He wants to move us from that comfortable faith which only functioned on Sundays as we attended church but was no where to be seen during the week to a faith that is within us wherever we go.

The Creator of all things wants to plant in us the kind of faith needed to fight an army of thousands with just a few hundreds (Judges 6; Gideon).
We need to know that He IS WITH US. And we need to be grounded in this knowledge in such a way that we can speak healing where there was an illness, bring hope where there was despair or speak light where there was darkness. The kind of faith that when we face the enemy in the eye, we can cast him out with the word of G-d in the name of Jesus Christ.
He wants us to know that there is a tremendous power that comes with the name of Jesus Christ. He wants us to know that nothing, by all means nothing shall be able to hurt you if you declare the name of The Lord, and have full confidence in it’s power.
So these times of solitude, quietness and personal battles is merely a training ground for the Children of G-d.
You see a soldier is only as strong as his greatest battle. If we had never had this time of testing we wouldn’t know how strong we are. We need to take the time and learn about the armour of G-d Ephesians 6.11. The Creator of all things wants us to know that the same power that raised Jesus Christ from the death is within us and by declaring the name of the Lord, we can face anything because He has already overcome the world.
Therefore I strongly recommend you to read and study the scriptures regarding the power that comes with the name of Jesus Christ and to stand tall against this world that may want to make us small and to know that you have already the victory through Jesus Christ.
